  • This week you will use old photographs, brochures and additional literature to finish your brief reports about historic landmarks of Franklin.
  • Final reports should be typed and saved to the diskette in your folder.
  • Students who are ready will begin uploading text and photos to our class project blog.

* Your assignment this week is to finish making notes and begin writing.
* Be sure to save your work to the diskette in your folder.
* Next week we will study old and new photographs in Franklin's history and write our final entries.

Sunrise in Franklin

Historic landmarks and places of interest for our study will be chosen for this assignment.

You will explore and gather information about the one area of Franklin that is assigned to you.


  • Visit the Franklin Chamber of Commerce web site to find information.

  • Make notes on paper and then transfer your notes to a Microsoft Word file.

  • Be sure to save your document to the disk provided using your first name as the file name.

  • Place the disk in your folder at the end of class.
